Peachblow Glass from
The Glass Encyclopedia

A short explanation of Peachblow Glass:
Victorian peachblow glass is actually a glass reproduction of a porcelain vase that caused a fashion craze in 1886 when it was sold at auction for eighteen thousand dollars (US). Today's collectable peachblow glass came from four main producers of Victorian peachblow, three in the USA and one in England, plus one recent re-issue (Gunderson-Pairpoint). Each of these versions of peachblow are a different colour combination, which makes it very confusing for collectors.

Hobbs Bruckunier produced Wheeling Peachblow which was originally called Coral and shades from deep orange-red at the top to yellow at the bottom, like the cruet top left. The surface may be shiny or matt, and it always has a white lining.
Mt Washington peachblow (originally Peach Skin or Peach Blow) shades from pink at the top to pale blue-grey at the bottom.
Libbey's New England peachblow (originally Wild Rose or Peach Blow) shades from deep rose pink at the top to white at the bottom, and can be matt or shiny.
Thomas Webb and Sons (England) produced a peach blow (originally Peach Bloom) which was deep red at the top, shading to salmon-yellow at the bottom, with a white lining. Gunderson-Pairpoint's peachblow shades from rose pink at the top to blueish white at the bottom.
